got these from vanns clearance section. these are really heavy duty, and would hold large speakers. used them for energy take classics, and although they were easy to mount, had to install speakers upside downnot that you can tell and bend the brackets to fit so as to not cover the ports on the rear. lots of brackets included for other brands. only negative is that they aint sexy looking, but then again, which ones are?

These are solid speaker stands that will support heavy speakers up to 10 lbs. They come with quite a bit of hardware and connecting options for practically any speaker. My surround speakers are older and do not have the screw threads that would connect to the speakers stand. Therefore, I used the flat plate and double-face tape method that came in the box. The speakers are very secure with this method. My only complaint is that the instructions are all graphical and no verbiage is included. I used the angled posts for my installation and removing the plastic component #3 in the drawing was very difficult. Once you get past that on the first speaker stand the second one was much easier. Ive only had these stands a short time but they have adjustability and seem to be of very good quality.

I purchased these to use with my Mirage OMD5 Speakers, but they did not fit and for that, I marked them down on performance. I could have found a way to make them fit, but it would have been aesthetically less appealing, which was disappointing. They do seem easy to set up and use if they work for your speakers, but the base is much larger than what I thought it would be. It probably needs to be to safely hold the speakers, but that is something to think about if you buy them.

These stands are super heavy duty, probably more than you need for small satellite speakers but there are not too many on the market that have the downward tilting posts for rear surround, it also comes with straight posts if you want to use them for front or side speakers.
Instructions are a little hard to follow, but its pretty simple so you dont need them for too much. One issue was changing to the curved post as it is extremely difficult to remove the collet from the bottom post, and not much in the manual explains how to do it. Unfortunately the set I had originally received was defective, the mounting base caused the stand to be crooked. I called Vanns and asked for a return, it only took one call to resolve my issue and I got to talk to a real person the first time! Great customer service,

I ordered these speaker stands based on reviews by other folks on amazon.com. The speaker stands are better quality than I was even expecting, especially considering their very reasonable price. They are heavy duty with a nice black coating that doesnt seem to chip easily. The base is cast iron and heavy enough to support my Onkyo HT-S9400THX surround speakers 7.7lbs and front speakers 11lbs. The angled attachments get the rear speakers angled perfectly toward the primary listening positions. Overall quite impressed with them and the number of mounting hardware options that are included multiple plates, bases and screw-on fasteners. The height is easily adjusted and stays where its put.

Great value for a great set of stands!
The angled bars allow you to extend surround speakers above ear level, while still directing the sound to your theaters seating positions.
These stands are heavy-duty, and remind me of light exercise equipment.
They could support not only small satellite speakers, but also small bookshelf speakers as well up to 10 lbs. each.
Theyre very sturdy and well-built, and they allow you to hide your speaker wires by running them thru the bars themselves.
Included are both straight bars and the above mentioned angled ones... both extend to ~50

Speaker stands are decent. Instruction manual isnt the best, but things can be figured out. Not a fan of the double sided tapecushioning things...makes speaker installation permanent and harder to move speakers. would have preferred rubber cushion thingies with only one sticky side. also, speaker wire cant be routed through the base, it enters the stand from a point about an inch up the center stand. not the biggest of deals, but could have been made cleaner by having the speaker wire be able to be routed through the stand from the base.
other than those nit picky things that they work great, and can be used for all sorts of surround speakers.

I purchased these stands to hold my new Definitive Technology ProCinema ProMonitor 1000 satellite speakers. I have been very happy with the stands and recommend them for the Definitive Technology ProMonitor 1000 satellite speakers and I will post instructions in this review of how to mount the speakers to the stands as it took a while to figure out. The stands have a very heavy base that keep the stands stable and prevent the stands and speakers from falling over. The base for the stands is larger than what I had anticipated but I am glad they are as a large as they are because it provides the stands great stability. They arrived very quickly after ordering and in great condition.
Instructions on how to mount the Definitive Technology ProCinema ProMonitor 1000 satellite speakers to Sanus Foundations Hover Series HF1 HF1B speaker stands The pictures on the box the stands come in show Definitive Technology ProMonitor Speakers on the stands in the pictures and that was what motivated me to keep at it and figure out a way to get the speakers attached to the stands as I knew it was possible because the stand manufacturer had done it I assumed and hoped that they had not photo shopped the picture of the speakers on the stands. The issue is that the ProMonitor’s or at least the ProMonitor 1000’s have a curved bottom and this caused issues in trying to mount the speakers to the stands and have the speakers not wobble around and be straight. It took a while of trial and error to figure out the best way to mount the speakers to the stands. This is how you do it
After completing steps 1 thru 2-2 in the instructions booklet I decided on the straight vs. the angled as I liked the look and the stability of the straight better than the angled ones. at step 4-1 use part [16] the smaller bottom speaker bracket and secure it to the stand with the hole in the middle of the speaker bracket the one on the widerlonger side with three holes and this will be the rear of the speaker bracket aligned with the hole in the speaker stand that the wire comes up through.
Then affix peel protective paper off the side that will rest on the speaker bracket one small triangle pad part [30] on each corner of the rear of the speaker bracket you will use one small triangle pad in each rear corner and Do Not Peel off the top of the pad the protective paper over the adhesive.
Then affix peel protective paper off the side that will rest on the speaker bracket one large triangle pad part [29] on each corner of the front of the speaker bracket. On the large triangle pads that were just affixed peal the protective paper off the top of the pad to reveal the adhesive on the pad and affix peel protective paper off the side that will rest on the pad just affixed on top of them another large triangle pad part [29] so that there is one large triangle pad on top of another so that you end up with in the front corners of the speaker bracket a thickness of two large pads Do Not Peel the protective paper off of the top pads. Leave the paper on for these top pads as it makes mounting the speaker easier and no need to get that adhesive on the nice speakers.
Then take part [28] a plastic washer that has a slight thickness and combine this with the smaller ¼-20 X 58 in. screw part [22]. Very carefully pick up the speaker and place it on top of the speaker stand bracket. While holding the speaker secure the speaker to the speaker bracket by hand screwing the screw into the threaded screw hole of the speaker by coming up through the bottom of the speaker bracket. After hand screwing enough so that the screw will not just come out and let the speaker fall. Use a screw driver to secure the speaker to the speaker stand making adjustments on the positioning of the speaker with one hand to keep it aligned while you tighten the screw with the screw driver using your other hand do not over tighten. I pushed the screw towards the front of the bracket as much as I could to keep the front of the speakers as straight as possible.
Repeat this process for the other speakers.
Remember Small speaker bracket [16], one small triangle pad in each rear corner leaving the protective paper over the adhesive for the top of the pads that the speaker will rest on, one large triangle pad in each front corner, peal the protective paper off the top of the large pads just affixed and affix remove the protective paper from the side that will rest on top of the pad just placed another large triangle pad on top of the large triangle pads already in place so that the front corners have large triangle pads two pads thick. Leave the protective paper on the top of these pads. Combine the slightly thick plastic washer [28] with the small ¼-20 x 58 in. screw and secure the speaker to the stand threading the screw through the bottom of the speaker bracket into the screw hole on the speaker.
I hope these instructions will save another person from hours of figuring out how to best mount the ProMonitor 1000 speakers to the stands.
If you want to change from straight to angled stands extract and retract the pole that inserts into the larger diameter multiple times and with force in order to separate the bracket part [03] from the pole part [01]. It is very tough to get them to separate but once you know the process it is easier.

They dont fit the stand perfectly, as the front of the adaptor sticks out under the speaker by about a half inch. Regardless they still look good and are very well made. The assembly is straight forward as well.
Im giving it a 4 since it didnt match my speakers fittings, but I guess you cant please everyone with one item.

This is the perfect adjustable stand I was looking for! I actually used just one of the stands to mount my 8 pound center speaker behind my 46 LCD HDTV. I have the base of the stand sitting on top of the bottom shelf of my TV cabinet and I was able to adjust it to have my speaker floating 1mm right above and flush with the front of my TV and LR speakers. I just screwed together the square base and right angle plates together. It makes it sound alot better and looks better above than down below sticking out in front of the TV. Easy to assemble and to thread 14G speaker wire.
