These speakers are very expensive looking. They are very easy to assemble 8 mins, they look like part of the stereo system. I am very happy with my purchase. I believe you will be as well.

The item is good but not as well made, very easy to assemble. After about 4 days crackssplits started appearing on the legs top and bottom where you drive the screws to mount the top and bottom platforms.

I had no issues and they are great speaker stands. I will say I was glad to see the advice of putting the carpet spikes in first as I can see how pounding them in may cause the wood to split

I purchased these speaker stands and within one half hour I had them assembled. The instructions were extremely easy to read. I was very surprised at how nice they look for the price I paid. If you are looking for inexpensive speaker stands, I highly recommend these.

I read a couple of reviews about how the stands suffered some cracking on assembly. Well, I've put together a lot of roll-your-own furniture and was sure that I would avoid the pitfalls. But despite taking care I discovered that the uprights suffered some slight cracking at the rear screws when they were driven into the pilot holes despite the care taken to actually hit the pilot holes and to not over-tighten them. It appears to be a defect in design, the rear-most holes for the uprights are placed just a little to close to the edge of the upright. I'm sure that moving them 14 or so closer to the center would eliminate the problem. That being said, the cracks are just an annoyance they do not affect the stability of the stands and are not visible except from the rear of the stand. I was able to mask it from all but the most careful inspection with a black magic marker.

Great service and fast delivery from Vanns. Stands look great but when the instructions note only hand tighten believe them. Easy to split the the long legs if you tighten down too hard. No other issues and assembling the stands were fast and easy.
They look great and serve the purpose!

Perhaps it's because my expectations weren't too lofty in the first place, but I was pleasantly surprised when I received these speaker stands in the mail. I've heard a few horror stories of cheap construction and pieces with split wood. I don't see why anyone armed with a small dose of common sense can't assemble these with minimal fuss.
Attach all of the individual components loosely. Once everything is loosely screwed in, go back to tighten (but not over-tighten) all the screws. Viola! No split wood, no complications, no fuss. Took ten minutes to assemble both stands.
There's a convenient hole in the top plate to string your speaker wire through. It runs all the way down the shaft of the stand and out another hole in the base. Pretty nifty way to conceal your speaker wire.
The top plate isnt all that big (5X5) so getting bluetak (or some other adhesive that wont leave any residue on the speaker) might be a good idea to secure the speaker. Overall, though, I couldnt be happier with my purchase. Worth the price. Are there better stands available? Yes. Are they more money? Yes. For what these stands are, theyre pretty damn good.
