Since running wires for surround sound speakers was not an option, I ordered the new Kef Wireless system from Vanns. The price was much better then my local dealer in NJ and the product arrived on the date promised including free shipping. The speakers work great with no distortion as witnessed by my viewing Gladiator with Russell Crowe. The setup took about 12 hour and the end result was most satisfying! Anyone with a similar wiring situation would do well to consider the Kef system and use Vanns for a good experience ...

I purchased this uniersal wireless system for use my HT. The idea was to be able to use my rear channel speakers, which is the main intent of this device. The problem is that there is some kind of internal cutoff at low volume. Bad for me this happened to be when movies were just giving me ambient noise in the rear channel. The unit would cut in and out and be very distracting. I tested this out by hooking up my iPod to the transmitter and got the same result. Below a certain volume level the unit cut in and out.

The wireless worked great when the volume is high, so I would say that for music where you can control the volume you listen at it works. For movies this was a big disappointment.

It was not a case of the wireless transmission. It appeared to be flawless, it something in the setting of either the transmitter or amp.
