Hooked up to Panasonic television. I would get signals for streaming movies a few times, then the tv would throw me off saying I had no signal. Attached the usb cord to the LAN hoping if It pointed directly at the router the problem would resolve. It didnt. Router is located 15 feet from the television. Ive had to go back to using my Roku. Waste of money. Wish I would have returned it within the 30 day return period.

- Background I'm using this with a Panasonic Blu-Ray DMP-BD655 which is hooked up to a Panasonic 46 plasma. I had been streaming in Netflix content from my laptop via hdmi to my tv, which worked but was a bit of a hassle. - Editorial comments Its worth noting that this little gadget can be hard to find, and seems to be a bit expensive for what it does. However, I decided to bite the bullet because of the convenience of direct, wireless access to Netflix. Yes, its too bad that the blu ray player itself doesn't have wireless built-in, but thats neither here nor there. - The setup So, the product comes packaged VERY well. The mail carrier could have probably chucked it from the street to my door and it would have been fine. As many have mentioned, the instructions are abysmal. You're better off reviewing the instructions for your blu-ray, which of course aren't that helpful either. My wireless access point is set to no broadcast and secured by WPA. During configuration, I had to do a manual setup and type in my SSID and passcode. I used WPA WPA2 didnt work, then TKID AES didn't work in my config, which of course was the last combination of settings. It did take several tries to get the right combination, which was frustrating. Please be aware that your device instructions may not contain ANY information about these settings....at least mine didn't. Shame on you, Panasonic - The result I'll be the first to admit that it was well worth the hassle! This little gem works wonderfully once configured properly. It beats the heck out of streaming through my laptop. What's really neat is that you can just use your blu-ray remote to navigate through your queue, stop and start movies, etc. I know this is a little beyond just the wireless device, but the device is what made all this possible. I haven't noticed any lag, pausing or choppiness in the movies I've watched thus far. My access point is one floor up, and I get a full bars signal. Great little gadget and worth the price and effort. Great pricing and shipping from Vanns as well...kudos on a great transaction!

The wi-fi dongle works as advertised. We hooked it up to a 50 inch Viera set purchased in 2010. The Viera model ends with G25. We have a Lynksys wireless n router in our home. We made sure to move the TV around so that signal strength received by the dongle was at its strongest. You may notice, as we did, that moving your tv a few inches in one direction or another can vary signal strength. We are able to stream Netflix and Amazon movies on demand, as well as Youtube videos and other content from the various software widgets built into the Viera set. The download times to the set are super fast. For example, a 2 hr HD movie will start almost instantly and the entire movie will download in less than a minute. That will vary with the speed of your Internet connection. Our Internet service is 10 gigs up and 5 down, which is faster than your average connection. Good product.

Well so far my wireless adapter is working great. Its really fast and connects instantly. I was skeptical about how this would work at first, but so far its great and is very fast. Its so much better than having to run a Lan connection and keeps everything cleaner with less wires. The one downside would be that its kind of bulky so you dont have acces to the other USB port, the good part is there is an extension so you can move it out of the way.

Bought a Panasonic blue-ray player that needed the DYWL10 - a proprietary wireless piece that allows for us to get Netflix from the wireless modem to the TV. Works great! The only downside is that Panasonic makes it so that it sticks out the front of the unit. But, we ordered it, and got it working right away, and we are not very technical people. Was not able to find it in local stores -- happy to get it from Vanns -- service was great -- arrived in a couple of days and we are enjoying our instant play Netflix movies on demand! Awesome!

First of all Panasonic had the item available on the web long before it was available to buy. I had to wait weeks before anybody had stock on the item. I have the Panasonic Plasma Viera P50G25 and the adaptor works OK with the TV - BUT you can only plug in either a USB cord OR the DWYL because Panasonic put the USB ports too close together and due to the bulkiness of the DWYL, both wont fit in at the same time. Another annoyance is I have to do a web connection test each and every time I want to connect to the web via the Viera Cast feature. It is fun to be able to switch over to youtube when there is nothing on TV that suits me I must say. I just can't believe Panasonic wouldn't test the bulkiness of the DWYL in relation to the USB port issue. Also, it is a bit pricey for just an LAN adapter. I guess the price will come down eventually.

It works pretty nice. You need to have some computer expertise in order to get it to work with your wireless router especially if it is using WEP encryption. Also at the present time ,the vieracast internet apps are not much at the moment but I understand they will be adding more apps in the summer. It is also pricey compared to the Samsung Link Stick which is a similar device for their TVs.
