We got this to go with our Sony BlueRay player so we could get netFlix. The price at Vanns was the best around and it was shipped promptly.
This is the easiest gadget to instal. You plug the adapter into the playeers USB port and the wireless into the adapter. After that it is a matter of settingup your network access with your access code a somewhat slow but one-time procedure. It probably took me longer to type in the code using the remote kind of like text messaging from a phone but much slower than it did to get up and running once it was logged into my home network.
Download speeds are excellent, watching a movie is flawless with no interruptions or pixelation from slow streams. I highly reccomend this if you are trying to get web access from your DVD player or TV.

This adapter was easy to install...easy plug and play... My wireless router is about 45 feet from the unit and in the main house...it gets great reception. At first i thought the price was high but after using it im very happy with it and well worth the price.

The Bravia UWABR100 Wireless Dongle for Bravia Internet-ready TVs is a snap to use. It is plug-and-play at its most simple. Thats a good thing, because the instructions are very, very brief. Most of the pamplet enclosed with the dongle was user safety cauthions as are typical of electronics purchased in the past decade. But the instructions essentially say to plug the dongle into the USB port on the TV.
Unfortunately, the TV I purchased last year, the Sony Bravia KBRX52 was not supported by the Bravia dongle. It took 20 minutes on the phone as a Sony tech advisor searched his records to discover this.
For supported TVs, it ought to be a breeze!

How cool! Once I got the BluRay player connected to the TV and then added the Sony Wi-Fi adaptor, I was so excited. Easy hook-up. Easy to use. Completely changes the television experience.

Getting the item was easy and fast thank you. Use of the dongle was easy. But as another reviewer mentioned there is an issue with distance and type of walls. I have wireless in my house and am able to use my laptop from the opposite end of the house. But with the dongle less success as I am lucky to get 40-45 reception for Netflix movies which means it stalls 2-3 times during a movie or I completely lose the connection. I may have to go Ethernet also. Pandora works great though. But I will keep the dongle just in case I move the Blue Ray to another part of the house closer to my DSL connection.

THIS is sort of a NOTHING review. Because of distance and concrete walls we could not use the dongle. Vanns cheerfully offered to refund. I mailed it back yesterday, We are now installing an ethernet wire connection between the TV and the computer modem. Hope it works to let us get Netflix. BTW, The Sony TV came with a miserable small instruction book. The on-screen help just does not cut it. THE CRITERIA RATINGS BELOW ARE MEANINGLESS AS WE COULD NOT USE IT. THE SURVEY SHOULD ALLOW FOR A NA CATEGORY!

Sony is the master of the proprietary technology for which they will lock you in and then overcharge. So after I get my $1,200 TV home, I find the fine print that wi-fi will only work with Sonys wi-fi adapter, and not with any of the many generic $10 adapters you can find anywhere. It works just fine, and made a nice satifying bong noise when recognized by the TV. But really Sony? Didnt you learn from the memory stick? Im annoyed.

This Wi-Fi dongle was easy to use right out of the box. Just plug in and then follow the on-screen prompts to connect to your wireless system. It was easy and works great! Fast connection clear pictures not had any failures to connect to wireless whenever we need to watch Netflix or Youtube videos! Love this product! Also, it fits in the design of my TV with a slick black finish. Blends in and doesnt stand out as an add-on equipment!

The Sony USB Wi-Fi dongle works as advertised with our Sony Blu-Ray DVD player. We plugged it into the Blu-Ray player and connected it to our wifi system. A computer was required to register and activate the dongle via the Sony Style website. After that, we were able to access a variety of websites for free and paid video content, including several Michael Jackson videos, travel and music videos, television shows fee, Netflix account required, Amazon video on demand account required, etc. The USB Wi-Fi dongle is costly, but the user-friendly activation process makes this Sony product worth the cost.

The SONY UWA-BR100 is very easy to use.
Plug it in, turn on your BRAVIA TV, log your computer into the proper sources---SONY, NETFLIX, etc., follow the onscreen directions and in a few minutes youre enjoying various internet media on your TV.

What can I say? Works like a charm with the intended SONY Bravia HDTV with no complications. It comes with a wired round base adapter that you can place strategically next to your TV. Looks rather sleek and sophisticated when inserted into its optional base. However, for a dongle these days, its rather pricey.

This is a very good product from Sony. I connected to my Blu-Ray player and followed the simple instruction. The player connected to my wireless network and configured itself. Its up and running great!
Now I am able to get movies from NetFlix free in case I want to just see a movie in my big screen. If I like the movie I can purchase it in BluRay if available. Great for downloading firmware updates. By the way, Vanns service and pricing cannot be beat.

I bought this Sony WiFi USB device for our compatible Sony Bravia TV only because Im always uncertain about the compatibility of devices from different manufacturers. This device is more expensive than others found on the internet. The WiFi signal strength was 4 out of 5 bars on my Sony TV, similar to the 4 out of 5 bars on our two laptops, but who knows if bar strengths are equivalent among manufacturers.
In any event, I have successfully downloaded free videos and internet clips from the internet to my TV, so the device works as advertised.

The Sony WIFI dongle works reliably and was very easy to set up with my Sony Blue Ray player to connect to my home network. I am able to watch all of NetFlix instant movies simply by adding them to my instant view queue. When I turn on my blue ray player and click on NetFlix my instant queue is displayed. The only down side of the whole process is that I resent being treated as a captive audience by Sony. When I bought the Blue Ray player I did not interpret WIFI ready to mean that I had to purchase at additional expence a WIFI dongle. Then, I went out and bought a dongle locally of the brand I use most frequently only to find that Sony does not allow installation of drivers for another brand so I had to return the dongle and order the Sony product at almost twice the price of the one I purchased originally. I really like both my Sony Blue Ray and the internet connection device, but if I were shopping again, I would look at the details of the o Samsung and LG players to see if they have the same racket going on.

The UWABR100 is the only USB wireless adaptor that is compatible with my new Sony BDP-BX37 Blu-ray Disc Player. I tried several other adaptors before ordering the Sony product from Vanns. It was shipped promptly and well packaged. Installation was very easy, and the adaptor unlocks a variety of useful services on my new Blu-ray player and discs.
