These are some of the best stands I have ever owned, rock steady and nice looking. I have paid twice as much for stands that were not half as good as these.

These are great stands -- well made, sturdy, easy to assemble, nice looking, great features.
Someone should fix the title of this item, though, because they are heavily textured matte black, which looks very nice, but its not gloss black. Who would want glossy stands, anyway?

These stands are a great deal for the money.
I placed them on a wood laminate floor - so I didnt use the spikes that were provided which look very nice.
These stands are much more than capable of holding my 12 pound speakers - just wish the top plate was more of a rectangle than a square.
The bottom stand rubber feet work well - but I replaced the top rubber inserts that the speaker sits on with some round 2 inch circular rubber pads that I bought cheaply at Home Depot.
I would buy these again & would suggest to a friend.

I bought Sanus SF26 speaker stands when I bought Polk Audio RTi A3 bookshelf speakers. These speakers ARE heavy and I didnt want to hook them up against the wall.
I was recommended these stands because of their low resonance and high stability even when the bookshelf speakers are loud enough to dance. I am so glad I took a decision to buy these brothers.
They come in a pair and the finishing touch is very aesthetic goes along with my speakers and TV stand.
A couple of tips
1 Fill the steel pillars with sand I bought general kind of sand from Lowes. It increases stability and speakers do not vibrate AT ALL.
2 Instead of mounting nails onto your speaker stands, use Velcro tapes with Industrial Strength. I rested my speakers on them and it turned out to be good solution to keep them safe from my 2 years old.
I had to tape my speaker wire using invisible scotch tape. In the beginning, I wish if there is a way to hide the cable, but now the nice blue color audioquest tape gives my speaker stands even more aesthetic value. Sometimes it is not much fun to hide everything from the view.
I will give these 5 stars.

These speaker stands are a very pleasant surprise. They are well made, and designed. They are quite good looking, made of materials that will last a long time. Add to the quality of the stands, they are very affordable. You could certainly spend more, and get less. I would recommend these stands to a friend.
