The wall-mounted look without any holes

High definition 720p or 1080p video pictures aside, one of the strengths of flat panel LCD and plasma HDTVs is their ability to be mounted flush against your living room wall. Suddenly your viewing area has a more spacious, more modern look. The only problem is, it isn't always convenient, desirable, or even possible to mount an HDTV on your wall. Allowing you to still achieve the flat panel home theater look without worrying about putting holes in your living room wall, Bell'O offers the FP-2125 flat panel mounting system. A vertical armature is designed to allow mounting of most HDTVs up to 60" is size or 175 lbs in weight. At the armature's base, two wide, black glass shelves with cherry-finish wood trim offer plenty of space for up to six A/V components and a center-channel speaker.

Neat and tidy: cable management

Even in the age of HDMI and single-cable audio/video connections, once you've hooked three or four A/V components together or to the TV, you've suddenly got a mess of unsightly wires and cables on your hands. You might think that with its spacious, modern design, the Bell'O FP-2125 stand would make gangly wires all the more visible. Quite to the contrary: thanks to the Bell'O CMS® cable management system, the FP-2125 allows for all A/V cables to be routed between components in a clean and organized manner.

The instructions for assembling the unit look somewhat complicated but it only took me about 45 minutes to assemble the whole thing. The unit has a sleek contemporary look to it and it is very solidly built. The distance between the lower and upper shelves is fairly short so you cannot put tall electronic components on the lower shelf. The mounting bracket attaches to the back of the flat panel TV in my case, a 58 Samsung plasma, also from Vanns. Then the TV and attached bracket merely hang on to exposed screws on the mounting framework. It couldnt be easier to attach! The only items that were conspicuously missing were the screws to attach the TV directly to the mounting brackets. They were absent from both the TV and the stand 8mm x 35mm x4 pieces. You wont be disappointed however, as the completed stand with the TV looks awesome!

I chose this BellO product because it could accomodate my Samsung 58 inch plasma, satellite receiver and home theater components. I also liked its look and simplicity. It was easy for me to assemble but took three of us to mount it to the frame - to be expected. I was not sure but as it turns out, the quality of the product is outstanding. The only con was it did not include the four bolts needed to mount the plasma to the frame. Also, in this size of plasma, Samsung does not provide the bolts either. To me, this is strange because the bolts are a common 8mm. So, if you purchase this product do not forget the 8mm x plus or minus 35mm bolts.
