So it's also important for your television to look good on its own. Sony's KDL-46HX820 delivers on both counts. This LCD TV offers a picture quality not many sets can match. An X-Reality PRO combined with LED edge-lighting provide a vibrant, lifelike picture. Meanwhile MotionFlow XR 480 provides smooth performance, even during fast action shots. But it gets better. Not only will the KDL46HX820 play back the Full HD 1920 x 1080p video found on the latest Blu-ray discs, it will play Full HD 3D video. But it's not just the picture quality of this flatscreen that will turn heads either. The HX820 series also features a monolithic design. This slim, single pane of glass looks very chic even when nothing's on. It gets better, though. Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity allows you to access content from many of the world's top providers like Netflix, YouTube, Qriocity, Pandora, Hulu Plus, Crackle, and many more. It's even Skype ready with additional equipment!

I have to start off by saying this TV is very easy on the eyes. It looks really good even turned off. I purchased the TV through Vanns friendly customer service. The TV was delivered within a week without any damage to the box. The TV is slim in depth so youll want a slim wall mount to compliment it if you decide to hang it on the wall like I did. The best features of the TV in my opinion is the built-in wireless internet adapter and gorilla glass front. Natural and artificial light does not affect the viewing of the TV. You wont be disappointed with this TV.

I looked at this on black Friday but did not pull the trigger and regretted it because of saving some money, however, this is the best TV I have owned. I put it on a wall mount and the longest part of the process was the mount installation. it only took 10 minutes to unbox the TV, attach the bracket and hang it on the wall. Make sure you mark your cables ahead of time if you do not use the HDMI. Set up was very easy and the program walked you through the whole process. The only issue I had was it recognizing which channel the Dish Network DVR was using for signal output. After playing with a couple settings it found the channel and we were in business. My wife is not an audiofile by any means and an off the shelf emerson speaker would sound the same as a high end Polk to her, likewise 480p SD looks the same as 1080p HD. After having it installed for 24 hours she said the picture is so much better than the old TV. There is still a learning curve on the tv sending a reverse signal to the receiver and controlling the volume via the TV. One nice thing is it does automatically switch between TV and external speakers if the receive is turned on. The wireless was very simple but we also live in the country and do not need a secure network so I did not have to enter passwords. Once turned it automatically set up a scan for new firmware and found some so I updated and we were off and running. Now the Bluray - There is a definite difference in the motion flow on this compared to other flat sceens I have purchased. If you like action on Bluray, do not drop down below 240mHz or you will be disappointed. I thought Transformers for the kids would be a good one to check refresh rate because of all the action scenes. I personally thought it looked great and only if a paused did you see blur in fast action. I have not purchased a 3d player yet so I cannot review anything with regard to the tvs capabilities in this realm. That will have to be my next purchase with Vanns! Vanns shipped same day like promised and I was very pleased with the packaging because they double boxed the TV and provided a lot of extra padding. It made a great box for garbage after Xmas. In all I am extremely pleased with the TV and Vanns on this purchase and would recommend it to others. If you can move up to this level and dont buy the EX or BX series if you can afford it.

Not only did they have the best price on the 46 sony KDLHX820 TV, but also the sales person was very knowledgeable and helpful on my choice of TVs so much more than anyone else I spoke with. I will always shop Vanns first. The sony TV has a great picture, the streaming capabilities with built-in Wi-Fi are a big plus and the refresh rate is great for watching sports also the blacks are there , incredible picture quality. I am very happy with my purchase. Thanks
