You don't have to worry too much about buying just the right recordable DVD when you're ready to record with the RC897T DVD recorder/VCR combination. That's because it records to so many formats. Super multi-format recording supports recording to DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD+R Double Layer and DVD-RAM. And of course there's a VCR that lets you record VHS tapes. This dynamic player/recorder even offers dubbing capabilities, so you can auto dub personal video from DVD to VCR or VCR to DVD.

Lots of playback options, too

In addition to playing all of the formats mentioned above, the RC897T also plays Audio CD, CD-R and CD-RW discs. You can play a disc loaded with MP3, MP3, or WMA files. You can also view your JPEG image files that are stored on a disc with the RC897T. The video quality is always top notch, too. You can achieve superior image quality and convenience with the RC897T's DVD/VCR 1080p upconversion via its HDMI output, as long as you have a compatible HDTV.

Expanding the possibilities

The RC897T is great for playing and recording DVDs and CDs, but it doesn't stop there. It has built-in ATSC/NTSC/QAM tuners so you can enjoy television without too much hassle. A digital cable/satellite box controller makes it easy to schedule recording from most digital cable and satellite radio boxes. A digital camcorder input is convenient for recording and editing from digital camcorders with DV (1394) input recording. And LG SimpLink allows for convenient control of other LG SimpLink products using the existing HDMI connection.
