This 16.1MP digital camera with an 18-55 mm lens shoots high definition 1080/60p or 24p movies in industry-standard high-quality AVCHD codec and captures 3D, panaromic, portrait, or backlit pictures as fast as 10 frames per second on burst mode. Your pictures and videos have the benefit of a 3" tiltable, LCD touch-screen so that your human eye can see the world through the camera's eye. Not to mention, the object-tracking AF option can lock onto a specified object on your LCD screen. The auto options allow for face detection of up to 8 people, skin softening of wrinkles and blemishes, smile shutter that automatically waits to take when a subject smiles, and 3D sweep panorama for dimensional trip captures. The NEX-5NK claims the world's shortest shutter release time, which is the time from when you press the shutter button and the camera takes a picture. By initiating the exposure electronically instead of with the traditional shutter mechanism, release time on the NEX-5NK reduces to only 20 milliseconds or .02 seconds! An especially unique feature of the NEX-5NK is its ability to take 6 pictures of the same subject and then combine all 6 to render the most true-to-life image. This layering method is also used to control blur in anti-motion blur mode or to get cleaner, sharper nighttime pictures in hand-held twilight mode.
