Pump up the volume
The Kicker ZK500 was critically acclaimed for providing incredible sound from the Microsoft Zune. The ZK350 may not take up quite as much space as its big brother, but that doesn't mean its sound quality is anything less than spectacular. It features 4" woofers, two 0.5" tweeters, and a 4.5" x 4.5" passive subwoofer so you get rich bass, pristine mids, and clean highs from all your music. An included remote lets you control the show from across the room, and can be stowed away when not in use. A/V outputs let you pass the signal to your home system or TV for more fun. It can be paired with an optional battery and road charger to allow you to enjoy your Zune media any time, anywhere. The integrated handle makes it even better! Oh, this dock cradles all models of Zune. If you want to play something else through the ZK350, a mini-pin input is happy to oblige.
What's in the box?

I think the Kicker ZK350 for the Zune is great! It has issues with the communication between the remote and the system, but usually a reset by unplugging the system works. I use it at work so I cannot blast it to test the range and clarity at a high volume, but overall it is awesome and it does not take up nearly as much space on my desk as my previous radio.

For years I have had and enjoyed my zune. But the accessories market has been more than lackluster, it has pretty much sucked. I wanted a speaker dock for it and found that there were two basic groups. Kinda cheap and qualitypricey. So I went with the more affordable route and the speaker dock did an average job. Using it in the house was fine, although outdoors any other noises overpowered it even when it was turned all the way up. Then there was a sale on the Kicker ZK350 an I snagged it right away. And I gotta say, night and day difference. The first thing I did was set it up outside, turn the volume up about 50, and play Black Betty by Ram Jam. And it sounded great! It was crisp, clear, and loud. I have read and do agree that the remote has a little bit of an issue being responsive. But really, it is a small and worthwhile sacrifice. I have not yet used it just on the battery so I dont know if the battery life is good or not. Eithe way, if you have a Zune, get this speaker dock!

What can I say? Great deal as well as great service. As soon as I recieved the ZK350 Zune Dock I hooked up my Zune 120GB. The incredible sound was awesome and the bass was superb. If your looking for a Zune Dock this is the one. Its not much different from the ZK500. But there is a Great Positive for the ZK350. It is Portable and the ZK500 isnt. I have the rechargable battery and it lasts about 5 hours. A great plus. Overall for a Zune Dock in my opinion it is a 10 out of 10. Because of the Awesome sound and it being Portable as well. Grab one before their gone. Great Price.

The sound is great with a good amount of bass. I have it connect to my stereo which makes the sound even better. The only reason I cannot give it 5 stars is because the remote is not very responsive which means that I have to manually change the music on the Zune. The actual Zune remote will not respond with the Zune connected so it is a little cumbersome when the Kicker remote does not respond either. Also, the Zune sometimes needs to be disconnected and reconnected before it works. I can live with the drawbacks because the unit sounds good and charges my Zune.

Big sound from a small source. The bass is impressive and very clear! It is being used by my daughter with her Zune. The sound fills her room and sounds great. I borrow it occasionally and it sounds great with the larger room that I use it in. When we entertain outside it is the perfect size for easy portability. The design fits nicely in any decor. Kicker offers high quality products, I am sure it will provide years of great sound. I have been looking at the big box stores for a reasonable quality, good sounding unit and I could only find the usual shelf systems with questionable sound quality and over the top flashing lights. The ZK350 is perfect for home or even at an office, stylish - powerful sound - without overpowering looks.

I knew the remote was going to be an issue when I bought the Kicker Z350. It was true. However, one trick to get the remote mostly working is to unplug the system, then try using it. Also, make sure that you dont just push in the knob once to go to Dock . You have to make a circuit around the other settings to get the Kicker to recognize the Zune HD. So, you have to press the knob maybe 4 times. Even with the above, the keys on the remote arent reliable.
Beyond that annoyance, the system delivers great sound and its one of the few that charges and controls a Zune HD. Although, my brother tried using the Kicker Z350 with a really old version of the Zune not HD and it did not work - at least as used as Dock and playback from that setting. So, the claim that this system works with ALL ZUNES, seems to be wrong, unless you include the auxiliary option, which you can do with most modern stereos. I dont include that, so Im marking this as a false claim.
There is a battery option for this system. It is sold separately & costs about $70, but that option is one reason I chose this system over one newer model.
Yet Im happy with my purchase as I did careful research on this item and had been looking for a deal. Vanns offered an excellent deal and delivered quickly.
