Good sound is in the details
Energy speakers are more than just a pretty case. From the top down, the Veritas V-6.2 floorstanding speakers make audio reproduction a serious undertaking. The tweeters bring together wide dispersion characteristics and superior off-axis response thanks to the stable aluminum dome design. And by using Energy's proprietary Convergent Source Module design, the tweeter and midrange drivers are housed in separate chambers. This both lowers resonance by eliminating unwanted interaction between high and low frequencies and allows for high power handling capabilities.
Changing the way distortion is dealt with
Energy doesn't believe faithful sound reproduction is going to come from run-of-the-mill speaker design. That's why they developed the Ribbed Elliptical Surround. The elliptical shaped surround, as opposed to the traditional half roll design, reduces distortion dramatically. The elliptical design also increases the size of the excursion and piston area, which in turn, provides greater efficiency. The result is clean, pure life-like sound.
Energy
This speaker boasts big sound, accurate sound, and can also boast of a great legacy of sound. Energy has been crafting their high quality speaker for over 30 years, focusing on creating flat on-axis frequency response, wide bandwidth, and low distortion and resonance. They haven't been doing it by guessing either — Energy uses knowledge gained while involved with early Canadian studies on pyschoacoustics (that is, the study of sound perception) and applied that to their speakers. So not only do their speakers get engineered with a passion for great sound, they get engineered with a passion for knowing why they sound so good. All boiled down though, the big winner is your ears, and that's a legacy worth talking about.

Took a bit but finally got the whole set. 6.2s L&R 5.2 C and 5.1s surround. It sounded super with the 5.2 &5.1s with Mirage OMD-5 s as surrounds but the bass the 6.2s put out I don't need my sub most feel differantly about that And mayby if I set it up with a sub it wouldn't be as bass heavy but it really does have too much for me. Will recalibrate again as I work swing shift so when my wife is in bed I still get a little rumble. Looks are outstanding as is the sound,no disapointments here and I went through a few speakers to find these. My wife was ready to have me committed for buying so many but I need to look no further. The tweeter didn't work on one of the 6.2s so I talked to Vanns who said to send it back but they weren't leaving so I was told to take out the tweeter and see if a lead came off. Not that lucky so I was told to call Energy and request a new one that guy Steve was rude and told me my reciever had to be 200 watts to drive these even though I told him I do not abuse my system and acted as if it was my fault. Caller my brother and he ohmed it out and found a lead off from the wiring housing. I called Vanns about half adozen times about the tweeter and talked to two differant gentleman and they were respectful each and every time. They told me my amp was fine and would have no problem with that amp speaker combo. Best part about callind is you get a person every time and they answer quickly. Vanns is an awsome company and there emplyees are very knowlegable, can't ask for more than that!!!.

I have owned and loved Energy speakers for quite some time now. A number of years back I had narrowed my choices down to three brands for my front channels in my home theater. Though at that time I went with a well-known planar-magnetic speaker at several thousand dollars per pair, I almost went for the top-line Energy Veritas because of their amazing imaging, clarity, and realism. Over the years I added Energy RC10 for rears and RC-LCR for center. Lately I have begun to scale things down a bit in my apartment, so the Veritas V6.2 looked like just the ticket...especially at the crazy-low price.. When I received the speakers and opened the boxes, I was stunned by the beauty of the piano rosenut. I hadn't seen such a gorgeous finish on any affordable speakers up until now. The V6.2s give me something very close to the sound quality of the 6 tall ribbon speakers they have replaced. In some ways the V6.2s are even better. They excel at low-level detail, requiring very little power to make them sing. There is also a touch of midrange warmth that my previous speakers coundn't quite match. The scale is smaller, of course, but the sound is not at all constricted or muffled. Energy is one of the few speakers, in my experience, that can seamlessly integrate the metal-dome tweeters for an amazingly articulate yet smooth and non-fatiquing sound. If you can still grab a pair, by all means do so before they're gone forever. These are VERY musical speakers, with excellent build quality and cosmetics to boot. This is the best value I have yet found on audiophile-quality sound gear!

Several months ago I bought 4 Veritas 5.1 bookshelf speakers, a 5.2 center and Veritas subwoofer and have been enjoying since. As I come to the Vanns site frequently, I decided to pick up a pair of Veritas 6.2 speakers the 6.3s were beyond my budget and only one was left anyway in order that I could replace my 5.2 bookshelves and move them to my bedroom. The shipment arrived in a week or so, double boxed, with no damage and I was very relieved as I am particular about my toys and how the Veritas looks is a huge plus. Previously I had an email correspondence with EnergyKlipsch and was told to break in the speakers by playing them at bookground levels for 100 hours and I just completed that this week. To me, there is some difference in sound between the 5..1s and the 6.2s. Of course the 6.2s do have more bass and sound fuller. I am not sure they are as holographic as the 5.1s, but they are truly lovely and a pleasure to listen to. As an aside, my Veritas 5.1s that I moved to the bedroom sound much better there than they had in my living room. That is odd but maybe my older Pioneer receiver has more real power than the newer one. All in all, I am quite happy with the price, delivery, looks and sound of my Energy Veritas purchases from Vanns.

I bought these speakers due to their extremely low price and I can say Ive been blown away by the quality and performance. First, the speakers look fantastic glossy Rosenut finish and include niceties not found in speakers much more expensive. They include a detachable base, carpet spikes, hard wood rubber feet and magnetic grills. More importantly is how the speakers perform. For the price, youd be extremely hard pressed to find something that sounds better. With dual 6.5 drivers they provide a surprising amount of bass and produce a very detailed sound. My only complaint is the tweeter can be a bit aggressive with some vocal tracks which can lead to an uneven sound. All in all, these speakers are a definite winner for the price point and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for high end sound quality on a budget.

These are highly resolving, dynamic speakers. Sometimes a touch too forward, but could be related to associated electronics. Presents a wide soundstage with exceptional clarity at the high end. A nice, warm mid-range and tight bottom register is also readily apparent. Can be a touch boomy, so room placement is important. I am using an Emotiva XPA-2 to drive these and an Audioquest Dragonfly USB DAC straightoff of my laptop playing all lossless audio via J.River and JPLAY. Really is a brilliant combination. Rosenut finish is flawless and quite beautiful to look at. Highly Recommended! As an aside, I enjoy these more than my Martin Logan Source which are more laid back and reserved.

I've probably got another week left on the break in time, but these babies are sounding better every day. I'm hearing fine details in movies and music that I never noticed with my generic soundbar. The photos on the site don't begin to do justice to how beautifully these boys are put together. They are also quite a bit larger than the photos would suggest. The perfect high-gloss finish on these rosenut towers is so deep. They really were built to the $2400pair standard. I can't believe they are giving these away so cheaply! I also got the v5.2 center channel, and I just ordered another pair of these v6.2 for matching rear channels. How do they sound? Wonderful. I'm a recording engineer, and in my studio at work I have $24,000pair B&W 800 Diamonds. These Veritas comport themselves quite well in comparison. The bass is surprisingly deep and fat. The whole range is sweet and detailed. Mediocre recordings do sound even more mediocre, alas, but thats the high-end price we pay for accuracy. I am thrilled with these speakers at this price.

I recently purchased a set of Veritas 6.2 towers, V5.2 center, and VS surrounds for my home theater in the piano black finish. Once I installed everything and adjusted my Yamaha AVR I sat back and just smiled as the sound coming out of these speakers were more than I expected. Sound is the most important to me but finish is a close second and these speakers deliver on both ends. Setting my Sub to 80Hz really made everything blend and helps the 6.2 towers since they don't have the mid woofer found in the 6.3 towers.

Purchased one pair of these four weeks ago. Wanted to replace my Polk Audio RT-800s. I wanted a more dynamic speaker with better transiant attack metal dome tweeter cleaner midrange and improved mid-bass. I received exactly what I was looking for! The veritas project sound much cleaner than the Polks and the mid-range is much smoother than Klipsch. The cabinet is beautiful piano black. The magnatised grills are a plus. They can handle a lot of power! Im running an ADCOM GFA-555 aprox 200x200 Amp with an ADC EQ. Also, running an OUTLAW LFM-12 Sub. These speakers are efficient and elegant. The separation is wonderfull. Sound staging is great. I can hear vocal newounces like never before. I auditioned B&W 683s Klipsch Reval and a few more names and I feel the Varitas is an absolute contender. There is no comparison to the Polks BTW. These are a steel right now at Vanns! Also, despite mixed feeling of the purchase of Energy by Klipsch, I dont think the designers diminished the Varitas line in anyway and kept to the similar RC line. If anything these speakers are an ode to the Enregy name. Buy now, as these are being discontinued!

I bought a pair of Energy V6.2 in Rosenut to replace the Yamaha NS-555 as front speakers. The Yamaha speakers were moved to the back as surrond left and right. Before I moved the Yamaha to the back, I did some testing to compare their performance. My receiver is a Sony STR-DA1000ES and it supports two speaker systems A and B. I have listened to the same song on both pairs and I can definitely tell that the Energy V6.2 sounds much better. The treble on the Energy is crystal clear and engergetic its bass is also strong and solid. Before I decided to get the Energy V6.2, I was thinking about getting the V6.3 which is a 3-way speaker if the price was lowered engough for my budget of about a $1000. The V6.3 price remains high and the V6.2 price dropped to about a third of the V6.3. The V6.2 pair costs less than a single V6.3 now you can get the V6.2 for even less when its on sale. I am pretty sure the V6.3 sounds better but its price per value is too high compared to the V6.2. I used remaining money for the center channel Energy V5.2C to match the setup. To sum up, the Engergy V6.2 is a high qualify speaker. It looks beautfiful and sounds great. Its price is perfect for those who are looking for high values on mid-range speaker.

I purchased these to replace the Klipsch Synergy series equivalent in my entertainment home theater room. These towers impressed me very much from the standpoint of RANGE! The room they are in is acoustically ideal. That being said, it was amazing the low notes these would reproduce and clarity of the mids and highs. I thought the Klipsch towers were great, but these sound even better to me. The finish is beautiful, but does require a little more delicate upkeep than the Synergy towers. The look is worth it, though. The magnetic grills and choice of spikes or bumpers to attach to the bottom baseplate is quite nice. The speakers even come with a set of white gloves to prevent finger prints. I feel that for the look, quality, sound reproduction and price - it is an awesome value.
