The Rel T2 is integrated in a stereo audio system with a pair of Harbeth P3 original speakers and a moded Dynaco ST-70 driven by a home-made tube pre-amp. The music source is a logitech squeezebox touch with the soundcheck 3.0 mod.
I tried a Rel strata II not the popular III version with the system in a room with low ceiling 7.5 feet, it did not add much to what I was expecting in the bass end, but blurred the images and the tonal balance of human voice. I suspected that that strata II had some kind of defect. I was happy with the bass from the Harbeth P3. It was very fast and real. So I returned the Strata II.
Once I moved to a room with a high ceiling, the bass from the P3 was totally gone. The sound became very thin and started to make me thinking the word sharp. So I knew I need a sub in this room. Once I unpacked, I realized that the Rel T2 is very small - I mean small only in physical demensions. It sounds very large. It blends with the Harbeth P3 very well. Once I set the volume and the freq. right, the sub disappeared and the Harbeth disappeared. I have a great sound stage but did not lost the imaging from Harbeth P3 if it didnt enhance it.
I dont even bother to test with all my favorate CDs now all streamed in FLAC. I just start to enjoy the music. It sounded just right. This is the first time I believe that a sub could do so much magic to a stereo system without losing image and all other merits of a bookshelf system. I couldnt be happpier. The T2 is an entry level sub from Rel. I am sure other higher level lines from Rel could do even better at a higher price and a larger size. But right now in my room moderate size, I have been satisfied in every aspect for the T2.

I pair the REL T2 with the Ascend Ascoustics CBM 170 for the bedroom setup. This little subwoofer really impresses me with tight & quick bass giving a very small in size. I have a Paradigm sub 15 as a living room setup. The sub15 is in different region in terms of size, cost and power. The T2 is small but powerful in related to its sizevalue. I highly recommend it.

Very nice and accurate sub, Ryan was spot on as to delivery and action of sub, hits really well on the low when you LEAST expect where as the run of the mill will just give you the boom all the time, a quality sub like Rel shines. Thanks Vanns and Ryan for being a great resource. Great service without pressure and nice products at discounted rates to boot!

Picked this up to complement my Deftech Mythos 8 center and 9 L&R Channels and all I can say is wow. I was a bit taken aback by how small this thing is but once you get it up and running it literally rocks my family room!
Its also great with music and to be honest I'll probably be taking a listen to some of my music collecting dust as this just adds a layer of depth that was lacking before.
Thanks again to the good folks at Vanns Particularly Dustin who guided me to this purchase and were available for questions about hook-up and placement.

This subwoofer is outstanding. I am a bass player in a band so I know what live bass sounds like and this sub reporduces bass very accurately. The sound is very clean and realistic. I heard one in a store, but now appreciate it more in my home. I highly recommend this sub and Vanns. Thanks for caring quality products that not only live up to their description on your web site but exceed expectations. REL - Vanns - Well done!

The subwoofer was damaged when arrived, called Vanns then they shipped another one when UPS picked up damaged sub. I have nothing but praise for Vanns and their associates, very professional. I was skeptical about the size of the subwoofer but with fine tuning and placement I am very satisfied with the reults. T2 matched with Paradigm Mini, Atom Monitors V.6 & CC190 V.6. Thank you Vanns

With careful placement and set-up, the REL T2 integrates beautifully with my Maggie MMGs. Great value, especially given the significant discount pricing that Vanns offered. While set-up and placement are more time-consuming than the 15 minutes the manual describes , the reviews on the net for this model and RELs more recent product offerings make that clear enough, and the results are worth it. Tight, tuneful, room-filling low bass, with a smooth hand-off to the upper bass lower-mids that the MMGs reproduce assuming repeated, careful adjustment. With a relatively low cross-over point 40 hz? and with high-level input gain at about 1000 oclock, Im also hearing more there there in the rest of the musical spectrum. In short, one hell of a deal. My listening room is 15 x 17 x 9, irregularly shaped. I picked this sub up for my Warfedale 2 channel based system. The EVO2-50 towers which im using put out decent low end but I wanted a little more weight in the low end. So I grabbed this REL T2 after doing a bunch of research. I was looking for a very musical sub that would disappear in my 2 channel system. I figured an 8 incher with the 10 passive radiator would be a great combination of punch and speed. The 200 watt RMS amp also sounded perfect match for my 200 watt Adcom GFA 5500. Im using RELs speaker level connection which I shortened the cable to the same length as my speaker cables, otherwise its a 35 cable! I have it set in a corner behind my rt main speaker and have installed the carpet spikes in this position it is seamless and thumping hard and true. The quality of the sub is excellent!! top quality everything the English still pride themselves in what they build I can see. So the REL plays nice with the Warfedales and the Rega TT likes the thunderous REL more now with the spikes installed even though those hooligans at REL say to leave em off if you can. Really a cool sub, very happy addition to my system, came bundled with a cool $90 Audioquest sub cable too!!! Great deal and came in perfect condition.

THE BEST subwoofer Ive ever tried. Including Martin Logan, and all the rest. Itll cost you $4000.00 to beat this thing! Accurate, clear, precise.
It blends into your system, and you dont notice it, UNTIL theres a car crash, or creshendo, then Wham, it sounds like the car is coming through your wall.
A pain to set up, and adjust correctly, but after that its phenomenal!

The REL subwoofer was recommended by a friend and I was a bit hesitant at the price. Listening with it now, I have no doubts this was the best decision. I was not familiar with the REL line and in doing research found that subwoofers are all REL does and is considered the benchmark in the industry. Positioning and fine tuning are a bit tricky, but after a few trials you locate the sweet spot for hearing and feeling the best performance. The output gives realism to the sound as opposed to just blaring bass. I am sold on REL now.

I will be brief. I only purchase REL subwoofers anymore. They are very good across the line. I have owned several and they are good no matter the price. The high level input from the amplifier via the Neutrik cable is a huge advantage if you use it for music. It blends with your mains beautifully since it is using the same signal that is going directly to your mains. I dont even use the low-level RCA LFE in my systems. The T2 is very musical and impactful, well beyond its diminutive size. Like any sub bass system, it does take some tweeking to get dialed in, but less than others I have used. I also have a Britannia B1 that is amazing. There are rave reviews all over the place for REL systems.

I have had this sub-bass system for only 3 weeks but it has changed my appreciation for music. The depth has increased dramatically without a large boom in the room. The price was unbeatable on Vanns.
I give it a 4 on ease of use, because you do have to spend some extra time setting the system up for perfect sound but that is part of the beauty of this system.
