Critical protection for critical components
All of your home A/V and electronics components are major investments. While these devices are designed for years of operation, they are susceptible to significant damage as a result of fluctuations in their power source. In addition to physical damage, some devices — like media servers, computers, or receivers — can lose setup configurations or stored data as a result of dramatic power variations. The MB1500 Uninterruptible Power Supply unit from Panamax is designed to prevent critical equipment from losing data in the event of a power surge or power loss by maintaining that equipment's power supply with its built-in battery reserves. The MB1500 features two outlet banks, each with four battery-powered outlets with surge protection and Automatic Voltage Regulation. Because Outlet Bank 1 houses the primary, critical-load outlets, the four non-critical-load outlets in Bank 2 will shutoff when the MB1500's batteries drain to a designated level, conserving power for Bank 1's critical-load devices.
"Cool" feature
For safe operation of video projectors, Panamax has designed the MB1500 with IR control capacity. Use up to two IR flashers (sold separately) to safely power-off projection equipment, allowing sufficient time for projector bulbs to complete proper cool-down cycles before fully shutting off. The MB1500 features dual learning IR output controls.

The Panamax MB1500 makes it easy to keep abreast of your system's operational status. Front and rear indicator lights tell you which outlet bank is switched on, warn you of wiring problems on your connected component, and the status of the IR output jacks. Further, a front-panel LCD display shows you system status and menu navigation items.
